Colossians
Roger Dykes Fellowship Hall
People want something new in their "religious experience". Christianity is fine, but it is not enough. So some add extra books to the Word of God, such as The Watchtower and Book of Mormon. Other people want the "best" of both religious groups, so they attempt to combine Eastern Mysticism with Christianity - so called New Age religion. New Age religion is not new at all. The church in Colossae faced the same issues in the 1st Century. Paul answers the question of "something new" by looking at the all sufficiency of Christ.

Kingdom Values
Trent Phillips East Foyer
We all lament the decline of values in our culture. We get concerned that we are not passing on values to future generations. Good, moral values do not necessarily decay because people do not know what is right, but becasue people do not do what is right. Jesus had much to say about values in our daily lives. Am I living up to the standard He set? Am I passing along the values for which He created us?
What God Wants in Fellowship
Jack Cummings Fellowship Hall West
Fellowship is more than eating a meal together. It is accepting, loving, forgiving and encouraging those who are of like-mindedness. What is God's definition and concept of fellowship as it relates to us in this church? What is God's intended result of such fellowship? What is my responsibility toward others in the Body of Christ concerning fellowship? These will be the topics of discussion during this series of lessons.
Controlling the Fires of Anger
Mike Hardin Room 203
Anger is one letter short of danger. If allowed to smolder and ignite, the fires of anger can quickly burn out of control and cause great damage. Through the teachers of Jesus Christ, we no longer have to be victimized by the sin that arises out of anger. We can be victors over this powerful and deadly force. It is time to tap the powerful resources that God makes available to us so that we can learn "to be angry and sin not" (Eph 4:26-27).
The Bible on Sex
Steve Eckstein Room 205
The images are around us every single day. Our understanding of normal sexual desire and behavior are set all too frequently by media packages meant to allure, manipulate and deceive. Wouldn't it be a better idea to go to the One who created sex to find out how He designed it and what He meant it to be in our lives? This study will make an investigation through all of Scripture to discover God's plan for sexuality. You may be surprised at what God has to say.
Outreach in Action
Contact: Darrell Ray Price Office Complex
This group goes out during class time to share God's love and meet needs in the neighborhoods close to Green Lawn. Those who are inexperienced will be teamed up with someone who has been there before as they learn to be comfortable sharing their hope in Christ with others.
The Measure of a Man (men's group)
Mike Galbraith Room 206
How do you determine what it means to be a man? True masculinity isn't measured by strength but by God's "measure of a man." At least 20 biblical guidelines may be drawn from the apostle Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus. Through Bible study, prayer, ideas for real-life application, words of inspiration, and the encouragement of other men following Jesus Christ, you will gain a better picture of what it means to be a real man.
I Told the Mountain to Move (women's group)
Karen Rogers, Nora Kopf Room 204
Do you have trouble talking to God? If prayer really matters so much to God, shouldn't it be easier to do? Which of my ideas about prayer are from the Bible and which are from the "Church Lady"? What are some of the obstacles to powerful prayer? Why are some prayers not answered the way I want? Will God help me if I'm the one who got myself into a mess? In the study we will talk about a biblical understanding of prayer.
Sing Joyfully!
Fred Maxcey Auditorium
Every Wednesday evening a group of men and women gather to sing praises to God. Some songs old, some songs new - all to the glory of our Lord. These sessions will help you in your own praises to God as you benefit the family of God at Green Lawn when we praise together in our assemblies.

Single Adults: Controlling the Fires of Anger
Kyle Brown Room 202
Anger is one letter short of danger. If allowed to smolder and ignite, the fires of anger can quickly burn out of control and cause great damage. Through the teachers of Jesus Christ, we no longer have to be victimized by the sin that arises out of anger. We can be victors over this powerful and deadly force. It is time to tap the powerful resources that God makes available to us so that we can learn "to be angry and sin not" (Eph 4:26-27).
